When Ashley stepped into the studio for her boudoir session, she shared with us that she\u2019s always had trouble seeing herself as anything more than the ugly duckling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSince I was young, I was always made fun of for a multitude of reasons. I was a geek, a freak, seen as ugly, a weirdo, etcetera,\u201d Ashley said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Philadelphia<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo matter what everyone says, words do hurt and they stay with you for far longer than you want. Even all these years later it\u2019s hard seeing myself as not the ugly duckling and seeing myself as pretty.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Philadelphia<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Though she\u2019s always been a fan of the classic pinup girls and has loved the idea of having a boudoir session of her own, there was always a voice in the back of her head that held her back. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Pinup<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen I was in high school I thought that maybe one day I could do that. But then I got into my head. I\u2019m not thin enough. I\u2019m not pretty enough. I just can\u2019t do it because I won\u2019t be able to pull it off,\u201d said Ashley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Black<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

It wasn\u2019t until she turned 30 earlier this year that she finally put those voices from the past to bed and said enough is enough. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Best<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wanted to live life without regrets instead of kicking myself until the day I die.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Boudoir<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

So she did it. The self-proclaimed ugly duckling booked herself a boudoir session and got to see herself as the beautiful swan her husband of four and a half years knew she was all along. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Local<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was the best decision of my life. I have never had such an empowering experience before,\u201d said Ashley, who added that she felt amazing, comfortable and beautiful in little more than her husband\u2019s shift and a thong with the help of Mike and Erika. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Pinup<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Ashley chose her artwork based on not only what she knew her husband would love the most, but also the ones she felt the most beautiful and sexy in.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Sexy<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhile one piece of the artwork I picked was something my husband would definitely like I chose the rest because yes he would like them but I loved how beautiful and sexy I looked. While this is a gift for my husband that is just a bonus. I did this for me to get my power back.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
